My Info

I little Info about me.

I am 26 and have been into fish since 1995, having both freshwater and saltwater. I personally like saltwater better. Once you pay for the set-up, I have found that saltwater is easier to have. The maintenance on the equipment I use is minimal. Plus the smell of a saltwater tank is not as bad as freshwater. Saltwater is more expensive but the fish are more interesting. I have been in local pet stores (LPS) and have listened to salespeople tell someone that saltwater is really hard. I really never shop at any local store other than two of them, unless I have an emergency. The one store that I trust that is close to me is Aquarium Inc. in Centerville, Ohio. The owner is great and knows a lot and is not afraid to tell you if he does not know. I also have found that Hawk's Aquatics in Lima, Ohio is also a great store. He has a good selection of  Corals. My favorite fish is the Emperor Angel. I have had one in the past but I had to move due to a divorce and he did not make it.   My plans for the future are to add on to my house and put a 2000+ gallon tank in the wall. All pictures are taken by my Fiancée  with a Sony Mavica FD91.

Two of the best books I have found are

The New Marine Aquarium, Michael S. Paletta
Step-by-Step Setup & Stocking Guide

The Conscientious Marine Aquarist, Robert M. Fenner

These book are very informative and I learned a lot from them and continue to use them.
